Good news! In the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio, just because you choose a Designer template for a card or scrapbook page does not mean you are necessarily stuck with the color of the card stock.
Here is the original card using the Designer option with Christmas Jingle.
To change the Chocolate Chip card stock to another color, click on the area of the Chocolate Chip color and then click on Background Papers in your Design Center.
In the Design Center, a box underneath will open. Click on Card Stock. Another box will open with your color options. I clicked on Real Red and then OK.
Like magic, the card stock turned from Chocolate Chip to Real Red.
